The Politically Incorrect Show - 17/04/2000
[Music - Die Fledermaus]
Good afternoon, KAYA ORAAAA & welcome to the Politically Incorrect Show on the free speech network, Radio Pacific, for Monday April 17, proudly sponsored by Neanderton Nicotine Ltd, the show that says bugger the politicians & bureaucrats & all the other bossyboot busybodies who try to run our lives with our money; that stands tall for free enterprise, achievement, profit & excellence against the state-worshippers in our midst; that stands above all for the most sacred thing in the universe, the liberty of the human individual.
[Music up, music down]
This weekend I went on strike. I refused to read a newspaper, watch the TV news or in any way keep tabs on what the morons & cannibals were up to now. My two days as a statism-free zone were certainly the brighter for it, though a very sad item of personal news came through yesterday morning - that an old friend & veteran broadcaster, Murray Forgie , had died a few hours earlier. Murray was not at all a political animal, but he was an individualist, unafraid to be himself in a disapproving world at a time when his sexual proclivities were not only disapproved of but rendered one imprisonable. He was a superb broadcaster - with a classic, golden voice - a colourful character & very engaging, humorous dinner companion. His appalling hairpieces were legendary. He had many, but we called all of them "Rupert." Murray & Rupert will be missed very much indeed.
I couldn't entirely escape the collectivist cannibals, however: one of them, an Alliance candidate, decided to send me an e-mail, which said:
"Hi Lindsay
"God, you and yours talk some crap. You should really leave these shores. People like you, Prebble, Douglas, Myers, etc, are the real traitors to this country. Enjoy the next 3 years under a left wing government. And then the next 3 years as well cause we`re going to be there for a second term."
I very much suspect he's right about that, tragically. He also forwarded an e-mail he sent to my colleague Ritchie, saying:
"You`re pretty good, mate, and I certainly enjoy listening to you but please don`t become another Perigo. He makes Rush limbaugh look like a communist. We live in a country that likes a fair but strong government. What the hell is wrong with that? What do we want - anarchy? Perigo is a fiscal conservative and a social anarchist. It`s not his money, it`s everbody`s money."
Well that's about as good as Marion Hobbs's "Behind it all sits a big stick" for laying bare the foul soul of a statist. "It's not his money, it's everybody's money." All of you out there right now earning a buck as you listen to me, remember that that buck doesn't belong to you, it's everybody's. Remember that this is the mentality ruling the country. Understand why I call these creatures "cannibals." They may not literally devour your body, but they will shamelessly devour your earnings, your returns from your bodily & mental efforts, because those earnings are deemed to be theirs to begin with!
This is unspeakable. We may have progressed in one respect from the times when Murray Forgie was legally barred from owning his own body, but in most respects we have regressed, to the point where no aspect of our lives is safe from political & bureaucratic interference. We are all government property now.
For this Alliance candidate who says it's not my money, it's everybody's, I have a simple, two-word unbroadcastable message. Upon him I bestow this award from another statist who, were he around, would claim ownership of me.
