The Politically Incorrect Show - 17/10/2000

[Music - Die Fledermaus]

Good afternoon, Kaya Oraaa & welcome to the Politically Incorrect Show on the free speech network, Radio Pacific, for Tuesday October 17, proudly sponsored by Neanderton Nicotine Ltd., the show that says bugger the politicians & bureaucrats & all the other bossyboot busybodies who try to run our lives with our money; that stands tall for free enterprise, achievement, profit, & excellence, against the state-worshippers in our midst; that stands above all for the most sacred thing in the universe, the liberty of the human individual.

[Music up, music down!]

In the midst of yesterday's rampant intercourse about sexual harassment, & my bitter disappointment at not getting any, I deviated a couple of times onto my amazement at the results of the latest TVNZ-Colmar Brunton political opinion poll, displaying as they did an appalling level of political illiteracy. Only 23% of respondents could correctly identify Labour & the Alliance as comprising the governing coalition, with 40% thinking the Greens were part of it, 20% naming other wrong combinations & a further 13% having absolutely no clue whatsoever. Good God! I guess I shouldn't be so surprised in a country that has been so thoroughly dumbed down, & in this regard, we can take some consolation from the fact that apparently we haven't got this on our own. Either that, or British youngsters have terrific senses of humour - the following questions and answers were collated, or so one of my e-mailers claims, from last year's British GCSE examinations, for 16-year-olds. Somehow I have my doubts, but, regardless, these are too delicious not to share:
