The Politically Incorrect Show - 17/11/1999
[Music - Die Fledermaus]
Good afternoon, Kaya Oraaa & welcome to the Politically Incorrect Show on the free speech network, Radio Pacific, for Wednesday November 17, proudly sponsored by Tuariki Tobacco Ltd, the show that says bugger the politicians & bureaucrats & all the other bossyboot busybodies who try to run our lives with our money; that stands tall for free enterprise, achievement, profit, & excellence, against the state-worshippers in our midst; that stands above all for the most sacred thing in the universe, the liberty of the human individual.
[Music up, music down!]
What a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black is Labour Epsom candidate David Jacobs' labelling of the ACT party as our modern-day equivalent of the Nazis. It's Mr Jacobs' party that tacitly bestowed Master Race status on Maoris; it's Mr Jacobs' party whose social welfare policies, apart from those of the Alliance, most closely resemble Hitler's; it's Mr Jacobs' party which is proposing a raft of new ministries & a plethora of new government intrusions into private citizens' affairs that Hitler would be proud of; it's Mr Jacobs' party that preaches, as Hitler did, that the individual belongs to the state. If any candidate in the Epsom electorate can be said to belong to a fascist party, it's Mr Jacobs.
It's true enough, though, that some of the policies of ACT, the Association of Compulsion-Touters, are Nazi-like. Nazism, or National Socialism, remember, involves state control over the economy just as communism does, but it exercises this control by dictating to private enterprise (& coddling its favourites in the process) rather than abolishing it outright as communism does. ACT's policy of herding everyone forcibly into private health & superannuation schemes run on terms dictated by government & overseen by the IRD, IS decidedly Nazi. Its policy of state support for the arts is just another modern variant of the Nazis' Strength Through Joy programme. Its support of our vicious anti-drug legislation, including the banning of pipes & bongs, is pure Nazism. Overall, however, ACT is actually the LEAST Nazi-like of the main parties. The odium of being the MOST Nazi-like undoubtedly should be heaped on one of the parties that will in all likelihood be propping up Mr Jacobs' party in government, the Greens.
Hitler's Nazis were green to their fascist fingertips. They protected animal "rights" & violated human ones. They promoted organic food & urged their people to eat raw fruit & vegetables. They opposed preservation, sterilisation & pasteurisation of food as "alienation from nature" - they most certainly would have opposed genetic modification & applauded the Wild Greens' uprooting of experimental crops. They denounced white bread & red meat. They opposed "bourgeois materialism" & the "decadent" technology that produced creature comforts - one of their early slogans was "Blood & Soil"; they would have applauded the Green's link to an eco-terrorist internet site even while denouncing the internet AND the cell-phone that Mr Tancos had with him in the Holmes television studio last night. They hated alcohol & tobacco - Hitler in particular was a fanatical anti-smoker - & placed severe restrictions thereon. And of course, they abhorred above all the notion of individual freedom, just as the Greens do in claiming that human liberty must be sacrificed for rocks & puddles.
If ACT are "evil," as Mr Jacobs claims, then his party & its Green allies are much more evil still, in that their assault on the sovereignty of the individual is much more consistent & all-out.
"Evil flourishes when good people do nothing," Mr Jacobs reminded us yesterday. Well, if the good people of Epsom want to do something to discourage evil, they should at minimum refrain from voting for Mr Jacobs.
